Warranty Policy
A legal disclaimer
All items sold through Elite Cricket Academy and Sports Gear retail outlets, as well as our online store, are covered by a manufacturer's warranty with some exceptions. The standard manufacturer warranty periods and guidelines for specific items are outlined in the table below. Please note:
When you purchase a cricket bat from Elite, you can be confident that it will be covered during the warranty period in the event of any issues. Bats sold by ECA Centre come with a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty. This warranty serves as a goodwill agreement from all bat manufacturers to repair or replace a bat that has sustained damage deemed to be a manufacturing defect, rather than customer misuse. All warranty determinations are made at the manufacturer’s discretion. Bats with broken handles, cracks, or other minor issues within the warranty period will be returned to the manufacturer for assessment and repair, typically taking 10 working days. If the bat is irreparable to a reasonable standard, a replacement may be issued at the manufacturer's discretion. It is important to understand that replacing a handle will not impact the bat's performance.
The warranty does not cover:
-
Damage to the toe from yorkers or cracks resulting from tapping/sliding the bat.
-
Surface damage to the face, edge, or toe due to inadequate preparation (knocking-in) or improper play.
-
Damage is caused by moisture, extreme heat, or improper use, such as hitting stumps with the bat.
-
Damage from using non-leather or composite balls, including those used in bowling machines.
Please remember that excessive use of bowling machine balls may void your warranty.
